In Colombia, local authorities in Cúcuta detailed two fatal incidents. Mobility officials blamed a likely illegal turn for a collision between a motorcycle and a motocarro on Camilo Daza avenue that killed the motorcyclist and injured another person. Separately, in the city centre, a delivery driver was shot dead during a robbery attempt after a struggle with a gunman; police reportedly captured a suspect, said by unofficial accounts to be a minor. In Medellín, police shot dead an 18-year-old riding a stolen motorcycle after, according to the security secretary, he produced a firearm while trying to flee; the official described the single shot as a “legitimate use of force” and noted six of twelve suspects killed this year fell under similar circumstances.

Argentina’s Salta province saw the death of a 14-year-old girl, hit by a pickup truck that witnesses said ran a red light. She had been travelling on a motorcycle with another teenager, who remains in hospital. The driver fled but was arrested days later after parts of his vehicle matched evidence, local police said.

In Brazil’s Ceará state, military police confirmed a 24-year-old man died during an intervention in Itapipoca. They stated he ignored orders, tried to snatch an officer’s gun, and was shot; a knife was recovered. Due to poor communications, officers themselves provided first aid.
