Winds will be light to moderate, shifting from southwesterly to northwesterly, and the sea state in both the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman is expected to remain calm. Yet the humidity will be punishing; Abu Dhabi is forecast to reach a maximum of 90 per cent, with temperatures climbing to 42 degrees Celsius, while Dubai will see similar moisture levels and a high of 40 degrees. Tide tables indicate a low tide early Saturday morning and a high tide late in the evening, information critical for coastal navigation.

Viewed from a global perspective, these simultaneous but distinct weather events underscore the uneven distribution of atmospheric instability across the region. Moscow’s thunderstorms, driven by a collision of cooler air with lingering heat, offer a respite from unseasonable warmth. Tehran’s dusty gusts, by contrast, are a classic feature of the Iranian plateau’s spring-to-summer transition, when thermal lows stir the arid surface. The Gulf’s humid calm, meanwhile, is a reminder of the approaching monsoon dynamics further east, where moisture streaming off the warm waters of the Arabian Sea will soon fuel the Indian subcontinent’s rainy season.
